The Dorothy I. Height HBCU Student Leadership & Social Justice Conference will focus on community engagement through social justice-related education, advocacy, research and referrals. It's mission is to heighten awareness regarding national and international human rights and social justice issues that impact marginalized populations and communities. The conference is designed to prepare students of color for leadership in the area of social justice. This year’s conference will focus specifically on economic independence, sexual health, criminal justice and decarceration, and community violence and resolution. Additionally, there will be opportunities to network with graduate program administrators from a number of universities, as well as a segment for student poster presentations.
