LONG FORM IMPROVISATION w/ Michael Harris
Long Form may be taken either as a follow up to the Short Form Class or as a first step into the world of Improvisational Theater. In addition to working on the basic concepts from the Short Form Class, this class focuses on scene work, identifying patterns, making strong offers, and building compelling relationships on stage. This seven week class will also conclude with a showcase performance for friends and family. While the skills utilized in both Short and Long form are similar, Long Form improvisation allows the improviser to have more control as they create a series of characters and scenes, typically based off of a single audience member’s suggestion. Long Form demands a greater level of commitment from the performers to sustain and connect what unfolds onstage.
