Make a difference for mental health and those affected by mental illness by participating in this 3rd annual signature event. Over 2,000 people of all ages and fitness levels are anticipated.

On-site registration begins and the Festival Village opens at 7 a.m. Celebrity co-hosts, Wim Hof (internationally acclaimed extreme sports athlete, author and wellness advocate better known as “The Ice Man”) and Lynne Brick (international fitness expert, co-founder and co-owner of Brick Bodies and Planet Fitness Growth Partners) will lead warm-up exercises at 8 a.m.

In addition to the 5K at 8:30 and the Family Fun Run at 8:45, the event will feature the chance to experience the one-of-a-kind Wim Hof ice baths, a Kids’ Fun Zone, refreshments, vendor exhibits, prizes and more.

Individuals and teams are encouraged to participate. Registration fees cover on-course water, refreshments, entertainment, a tech t-shirt and the chance to win prizes. Prices are as follows:

• $30/person for the 5K or Family Fun Run until Oct. 10.
• $35/person if registering day of event and at packet pick-up week of event.
• Free for children age 10 and under to participate in either race, but registration is required.
• $75 Family Registration (up to four people) for the Family Fun Run: select multi-person pricing for this rate.

As an added bonus, the first 100 registrants for the 5K have the exclusive opportunity to participate in the Wim Hof Experience, Saturday, Oct. 13 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at Brick Bodies Padonia. Hof will teach his philosophy of deep breathing exercises and cold training, and then coach participants on the breathing techniques. After, participants will experience a two-minute ice bath.
Event proceeds will support the John W. Brick Mental Health Foundation – a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization established by Victor and Lynne Brick in 2015 to fund, conduct, and promote evidence-based research on how different forms of holistic treatments – such as exercise, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle choices –can benefit mental health.
